A Demelza supporter is set to lose weight in order to gain pounds for Demelza Hospice Care for Children.
Neil Wornast, Operations Manager at Norbert Dentressanlge in Gravesend, came in at 20 stone ¾ lb in his first weigh in. He is aiming to lose as much as he can over the next three months with the incentive of raising cash for his local children’s hospice.
Neil said: “My friends have been concerned for a while over my weight gain and I have tried half heartedly to lose weight, but never seemed to get the right motivation. It was after a visit by Katie, Sally and Paul to Demelza House after our Depot Olympics which raised money for Demelza that they came up with the idea of a sponsored diet.”
Keith Lee, Demelza Corporate Partnerships Executive said: “This is fantastic way of raising money for Demelza whilst also helping Neil lose weight. As part of the challenge is going to be taking part over Christmas I can imagine it’s not going to be easy.”
