Steve Hoy Chief Executive
Steve joined Demelza as CEO in August 2011, having previously been Chief Executive of the Connexions company in Cheshire and Warrington.
He was responsible for developing a highly innovative and respected company supporting vulnerable young people.
In addition Steve was also a Chairman of the National Connexions network. Steve is married and has a 19 year old daughter and a 15 year old son.

Lavinia Jarrett Head of People
Lavinia has a varied industry background including manufacturing, the NHS, estate agency and financial services.
Lavinia spent four years in an NHS commissioning role for primary health care providers and is aware of the complexities surrounding family healthcare, including social services and palliative care provision.
Lavinia joined Demelza in 1999 and has been involved in periods of change management for the organisation as all our services have grown and developed to meet our strategic goals.
A member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development; Lavinia has responsibility for securing Demelza's specialised workforce and over 1,000 volunteers, ensuring they are developed and managed appropriately.

Sarah Hazelwood Director of Corporate Services
Sarah joined Demelza in February 2011 as Finance Director. Sarah trained as a chartered accountant with KPMG and has worked at board level within SMEs for the past 11 years.
She has experience in strategic leadership, change management and the sale and acquisition of companies as well as treasury management in challenging environments.
Demelza is Sarah’s first paid role in a not for profit organisation although she was previously the treasurer, and is now the chair of trustees, for a family support charity where she steered the charity through a time of change.

Liz Haigh-Reeve Director of Income Generation
Liz joined Demelza in January 2013 to head up the fundraising, marketing and communications and trading teams.
She has 25 years experience in the not for profit sector, most recently spending 14 years as Director of Fundraising and Communications at the Children’s Trust,
Liz has also previously worked at director level at the National Society for Epilepsy and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Sarah Carter Head of Care Demelza South East London
Sarah trained to be a Registered General Nurse at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary in Scotland before moving to London to take up a position as staff nurse on the paediatric ward at North Middlesex Hospital.
She later completed her Registered Sick Children's Nurse training at Westminster Children's Hospital and worked within paediatrics at GOSH, Guy's & St Thomas' and Westminster Children's Hospital before becoming ward sister at the Brook Hospital, Greenwich District Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich.
While working full time Sarah completed a Diploma in Professional Practice then continued for a further two years gaining a BSc (honours) in Caring for Children with Respiratory conditions.
In 2001 she joined a very well established and respected team of Community Children's Nurses in Greenwich. During her time with the team Sarah continued her professional development gaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Community Children's nursing.
In 2005 Sarah became one of the first Demelza Community Children's nurses working alongside the acute team providing holistic care at home to the large number of children with life -limiting/life-threatening conditions residing in Greenwich.
In May 2008 she took up the position of Head of Care for the new Demelza Hospice in South East London.
Sarah has loved every single job she has ever had but says obviously Demelza is her favourite!

Head of Community Care East Sussex
Jane trained in Brighton and has worked in paediatrics since 1986; her specialism being working with complex medical needs associated with neurological disabilities in children/young adults. She gained a huge amount of experience whilst working at Chailey Heritage Clinical Services in many different departments.
Jane took a position in Children's Palliative Care in 2000 progressing from a senior nurse to Deputy Head of Care and is now Head of Care for Community Services, East Sussex heading up the Palliative Care and Continuing Care teams. She has helped to develop the service to where it is today.
Jane says it is a privilege to work within an organisation where the heart of the philosophy is to remain family led. Families continue to amaze her in their capacity to live with the potential prospect of losing a child. Working alongside these families with professional colleagues she constantly learns that we can make a difference to help them maintain as normal a family life as possible.
Jane says it is an honour to lead the Community Teams, who are at the heart of our service provision.

Ann has gained experience in general, surgical and high dependency units, and has completed a degree in Children’s Palliative Care.
