You may be familiar with charities claiming gift aid on monetary donations but Demelza Hospice Care for Children can now claim gift aid on goods that you have donated to our shops which are subsequently sold.  We call this Retail Gift Aid. 
For every £1 that we raise through the sale of your items, we are able to claim an additional amount from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs.  We will keep you informed on a regular basis of how much additional money your unwanted items have raised for Demelza. 

This 'extra' money makes a huge difference:

£15 could enable us to purchase arts & crafts for our art room, giving children the opportunity to express themselves whilst having fun

£25 could pay for a day’s meals for a family of four staying at Demelza. An opportunity for the whole family to sit together and enjoy some family time

£100 could capture special moments for the families to keep. These memories will comfort families through their darkest days.

 It’s so simple to make a big difference.

This is what you will need to do and it will only take a couple of minutes of your time…

1. Sign the retail gift aid declaration form. This is available in all our shops or you can click the following image to download the form.
   
2. All your donated items that are of a saleable condition will be labelled with your Unique Donor ID barcode.
3. You will be given a card with your Unique Donor ID barcode, this identifies you as a Demelza Retail Gift Aid supporter.
4. Every time you donate into any of our shops just show us your Donor ID card, but don’t worry if you have left it at home we will still be able to label the items on your behalf.
