Loss and Bereavement
As practitioners across psycho-social and psychotherapeutic client bases, we are often faced with the realities of clients and our own mortality. Developing deeper self-awareness and personal / professional resilience without losing the personable element of our direct interactions with clients can be challenging, scary and equally afford us unexpected intra-personal growth.
The session will invite learners to explore their understanding of Paediatric Palliative Care within personal and professional contexts; drawing upon the work of Stroebe and Parkes; supported by examination of NICE guidance on bereavement Support and ACT Care Pathways. We shall use case material to aid our work through facilitated group discussion and networking.
