We are very fortunate to receive a huge amount of support from Trusts and Foundations and would like to say a massive thank you to each and every organisation that has supported us. This funding makes a huge difference to the support, care, advice and facilities that we can provide to our children, young people and their families.
This year we have received some fantastic grants, including from the Garfield Weston Foundation to go towards our running costs, from BBC Children in Need to fund a Transition Support Worker, the Thomas Cook Children's Charity to refurbish our family lounge at our Kent hospice, Awards for All for a new bereavement support initiative and the Sussex Community Foundation to help fund our community hospice care in East Sussex.
|Here are some of the activities and areas that we need funding for to ensure that we can continue to keep our services running.
Click on the links below for more information about each topic:
Nursing Care - Because we need to keep our doors open and our nurses on the road.
Specific Equipment and Projects - Because sometimes we need a new bed or piece of medical equipment.
Play and Recreation - Because all children enjoy the soft play, watching a DVD or taking a trip to the beach.
Art Therapy - Because it helps children and their families deal with pain, create memories and prepare for short lives.
Music Therapy - Because expressing ourselves through music can place meaning on what is happening and build confidence.
Bereavement Support - Because we would all need help through the most difficult of times.
Sibling Support - Because having a brother or sister who is very ill can be unimaginably difficult.
