From flower shows and picnics, to hiking, biking and even skydiving – however you take part, you’re helping us to be there for more families who need us.
Open Gardens
Who doesn’t love to see gardens in bloom? Encourage your fellow green fingered community and host an Open Garden or plant a display of flowers in your local spaces. You can ask people for a fee in exchange for visiting and enjoying the beautiful flowers.
Hold a raffle
Why not hold a raffle in your town or village? You can ask for donations from local people and businesses as prizes, sell raffle tickets for a small amount. Please make sure you check the rules of holding a raffle, we’re here to help if needed.
Seasonal Fundraising
For Halloween, Kieron and his family transformed their home into an extravagant Halloween display. The spooky set-up attracted an impressive flurry of trick or treaters, raising over a phenomenal £2,500.
Fundraising in celebration
Whether you’re celebrating a wedding, civil partnership, anniversary, birthday, retirement or another special occasion, you can support Demelza by asking friends and family for charity donations in lieu of gifts.
You’re probably used to seeing charity collection pots on the counter of shops and restaurants. And hopefully sometimes you pop your loose change in them.
But did you know that the average charity collection pot holds £48, which can pay for an invaluable hour of care for a child at our hospices?
Your loose change can make a real difference to Demelza with our collection pots. Every little really does help.
